Founded in 2018 by visionaries Evans Phakathi, Terence Hall, and Michael Johnson, WFD was established to create a structured environment for youth football development in Johannesburg. In 2015, we relocated to Randburg North from Florida West to enhance our facilities and reach more aspiring athletes. This move allowed us to provide better training grounds and accessibility. Over the years, we have celebrated numerous milestones, including the launch of our first under-13 and 17 team in 2023, which quickly became competitive in local leagues. Most recently, in 2024, our under-13 team achieved remarkable success by winning both the league and cup, while our under-17 squad showcased their skills by reaching the league cup quarter-finals and finishing fourth in the league table. We have currently added under – 11 and 15 in 2025. WFD continues to grow and inspire young talent.
